So today I uploaded my very first Youtube Video! I’ve been eagerly awaiting being able to start creating something more visual for you all – I know there are some who connect better with visuals rather than words! I hope you get as much enjoyment out of watching it as I have enjoyed producing it. Here’s to many more!!
Here’s a link to the Video.
I can honestly say that I knew it was going to be some hard work, but I had no concept of JUST how much work goes into producing a video. My first video isn’t as polished and put together as I would like, but it took me 3 days of editing just to get it to where it is now! And you learn so much by actually doing it!
For instance, to make it easier for me and keep the video duration down for the video, I decided to not talk through it in real time, but voiceover afterwards. You then have to figure out how to sync the audio with the video!
I filmed the introduction at the end as you do to show the look you’ve just created – the audio on the camera worked perfectly for the portions that I didn’t bother speaking on – nice and clean and crisp – and went fuzzy and crappy on the introduction so it was no longer usable. Pain in the arse.
My new ringlight is ace, but if you don’t have enough background/ ambient light in the room besides, it drains the colour from the image in the video.
But this whole experience is a learning curve, and I’m enjoying every minute. I can’t tell you the last time I was as excited about something and so motivated to get it done that I stayed up til 3am!!!
So, if it’s something you’re interested in, please, go watch. Like, comment, subscribe please – interact with me! I’d love to meet you all. I’m aiming for one video a week, so keep an eye out!
