Thought I would do a run-through of my November favourites from my makeup bag, the things that I’m rarely without!
Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer – I have this in light, and decided to give it a go after hearing good things about it from my favourite Youtuber Jamie Genevieve. It’s a nice consistency, blends out beautifully and doesn’t crease – holy grail for me.
Nyx Lip Lingerie liquid lipstick – Corset – This is a nude colour, which is really lovely on. It oxidises a bit and goes a gray undertone, which I don’t mind one bit, I actually quite like that. Great Staying power and tops off all the Autumn-y looks I’ve been playing with at the moment!
Jeffree Star – Posh Spice Liquid lipstick – All of his Liquid lips are AMAZING! Amazing pigmentation, amazing staying power – this is the one lipstick that I would confidently overdraw with and know that it looks ok, dries down matte and won’t budge. Posh spice is supposed to be a purple-y nude, but comes out a darker gray-purple on me – LOVE LOVE LOVE. I also have Celebrity Skin which is a warmer-toned dark taupe. HUGE fan.
Jeffree Star – So Fucking Gold highlighter – need I say any more? How to look like a Nubian Goddess even if you’re so pale you look ill without makeup on. You can either go subtle on top of your powdered or matter foundations with this, or pop it on over damp foundation/ liquid highlighter underneath to look like C3PO. Either way it’s beaut. And very affordable too. I think he should start making all kinds of makeup TBH.
Vichy Dermablend Foundation – I have tried to give some of the others I have a chance, and have yet to be more impressed than I was with this one. Literally my only gripe is that I can’t keep it matte – although I may take my own advice and try talc baking it. Loreal Infallible foundations are nice but tend to oxidise with a pink undertone which makes me look orange 😦 Please bring out a light-medium yellow tone Loreal!!)
Rimmel – Good to Glow illuminator. Just one word. Awesome. Does what it says on the tin. Use a lot to look like C3PO or some Egyptian gold idol or use a little and blend. Use powder highlighter over the top if you like. Use on it’s own on bare skin for a healthy glow. Just. Mmmm. So good.
That’s it at the moment – not too long a list. Although I’m sure I’ll have to do a haul blog with reviews after Christmas, and after Christmas I’ll be able to do Vlogs and Youtube videos too – EEEKKKK!!! Exciting times.
